Semaglutide

Semaglutide is a weekly injection used for weight loss that works by mimicking a hormone called GLP-1, which regulates appetite and food intake. By slowing gastric emptying and increasing feelings of fullness, Semaglutide helps reduce caloric intake. Clinical studies have shown that individuals using Semaglutide can expect to lose an average of 10-15% (or more!) of their body weight over a period of several months when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise. This makes Semaglutide a powerful tool in achieving sustainable weight loss

Contrave

Contrave is an FDA-approved weight loss medication that combines two drugs, naltrexone and bupropion, which work together to reduce hunger and control cravings. Naltrexone is traditionally used for addiction treatment, while bupropion is an antidepressant and smoking cessation aid. Together, they target the brain's hunger and reward centers to help decrease appetite and increase energy expenditure. Clinical studies have shown that individuals using Contrave can achieve moderate weight loss, typically around 5-10% of their body weight, when combined with a comprehensive weight management plan. The benefits of Contrave include its dual mechanism of action, which not only supports weight loss but also helps improve mood and reduce cravings, making it easier to stick to a healthier lifestyle.

Qsymia

Qsymia is an FDA-approved weight loss medication that combines two drugs: phentermine, an appetite suppressant, and topiramate, which increases feelings of fullness and reduces cravings. Together, they work synergistically to help reduce caloric intake and promote sustained weight loss. Clinical studies have shown that individuals using Qsymia can expect to lose an average of 10-15% of their body weight when combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise. The benefits of Qsymia include its dual-action approach, which not only helps curb hunger but also addresses the behavioral aspects of eating, making it an effective tool for achieving long-term weight management.

Metformin

Metformin, a well-established medication primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes, is increasingly recognized for its benefits in weight loss. It works by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver, and decreasing the absorption of sugar in the intestines. These actions help to lower blood sugar levels and reduce appetite, making it easier to manage calorie intake. Studies have shown that metformin can lead to modest weight loss, especially in individuals with insulin resistance or prediabetes. Its benefits extend beyond weight loss, as it also helps improve overall metabolic health, making it a valuable addition to a comprehensive weight management plan.
